Bucks students study in specific vocational areas, with the aim of becoming industry specialists or transferring their skills to general graduate opportunities.
We support all our students to develop their strengths in:
- Leadership and self-development
- Developing knowledge and applying it
- Being creative
- Demonstrating social and ethical awareness and responsibility
To promote your opportunities to our skilled graduates, contact us at email@example.com.
Many of our students take on part-time work while they’re studying with us.
Typical roles include:
- Market research/ survey work
- Administration/ data inputting
- IT support, web design, database work
- Translating/ interpreting
We don’t recommend that students commit to more than 20 hours per week during term time. This can of course be extended during vacations. Salaries vary from the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and upwards.
If you would like to recruit one of our international students but are not sure about the working regulations, please contact us for advice by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of our courses encourage students to get involved with work experience and placements that are related to their subject. For most students this will happen during vacations, but some courses offer industry-based modules .
We can help you make contact with our students for your summer internship, placement, work shadowing or any other project. If you’re not sure whether you should be paying your intern, visit Employment rights and pay for interns for guidance.
We will not advertise unpaid opportunities that replace a paid position. We work with academic colleagues to enhance opportunities for our students so they can better understand the workplace through projects and shadowing, and mentoring relationships.
Volunteering is a great way for students to develop skills relevant to their course, or to work on their leadership skills and explore how to work in a team. Through their fundraising and volunteering, our students are making a great contribution to our local community.
To find out more contact the Bucks Students’ Union.
We can facilitate you getting to know our students better, in advance of recruitment activity. Examples of this include:
- Mentoring a student
- Visiting a course area to share information and advice
- Participating in one of our subject specific opportunities fairs
Contact us at email@example.com to explore these options with us.
